n NEVER heat the stoneware pot when it is empty.
USE: The stoneware insert can be used in
conventional, convection and microwave ovens,
in the refrigerator, freezer and in the dishwasher.
CARE: The stoneware insert may be washed by hand
or in a dishwasher. Load carefully to avoid
stoneware-to-stoneware contact and bumping
against other items during cycle.
DO NOT allow stoneware cookware to soak/stand in
water for an extended period of time. Applied heat
after soaking may cause glaze crazing. If scouring is
necessary, use only plastic or nylon cleaning pads with
nonabrasive cleaners.
n Never subject the cooking pot to sudden changes
in temperature. NEVER place it where it can come
in contact with direct heat (e.g., on top of a range
or under a broiler).
n When removing the stoneware pot from a
microwave, be sure to use potholders or oven
mitts.
n Always use potholders or oven mitts when
removing stoneware pot from base. Do not set
stoneware pot directly on counter top or table;
use a trivet or hot pad.
n Unplug unit and allow to cool after use.
Do not pour cold water into hot stoneware
cooking pot.
CARE OF PLASTIC TRAY:
To prevent cracking or breaking, the plastic chip
tray should be treated with special care.
CAUTIONS: Plastic chip tray may break if
dropped. Chips, cracks or deep scratches may
weaken the tray. The plastic chip tray is
dishwasher safe, but it is recommended for the
TOP RACK ONLY.
NEVER place the Plastic Tray in the microwave or
conventional ovens, or on a range or burner.
PRECAUTIONS
n Always unplug unit and allow to cool before
cleaning.
n Always handle stoneware carefully. Avoid
hitting pot against faucet or other hard
surfaces.
n Do not touch sides of the base while food is
cooking. Always use care when handling the
base. Use potholders or oven mitts to lift the
stoneware.
